I encourage you today to call upon His name. He is there waiting to hear your voice and answer you. Beginning your morning in His presence, even for a moment, allows Him to pour out blessing on your life!

They will call upon my name and I will answer them

Zechariah 13:9

Most mornings I walk from the bed to the coffee pot. I drink my first cup while I make breakfast and lunch for my hard working man. The second cup comes after he leaves for work and I frequently enjoy it on the porch. Beside my coffee pot sits a frame that I hold dear. The beautiful lettering notes the “Names of God”. I take a moment every morning to read them out loud.

As we journey through this life we experience salvation, joy, grief, pain, and struggle. My life has been one of unexpected tragedy, total dependence and redeeming joy. As I look at these names through my sleepy eyes, I am immediately drawn to Him. I am reminded that my identity is found in Him. He knows my every need or desire and I can depend on the attributes of God. As I pray, I call upon the Name of The Lord God and scripture tells me He will answer. This promise provides me joy, peace and comfort that I depend on as I walk through my daily life. His provision for me is amazing, every time!
